There is a VERY good excuse not to use that library - it's GPL (not LGPL), meaning you have to make your whole app GPL as well if you want to use it.

Try to use this code with the windows growl's version.
The compiler say :
"Cannot access net.sf.libgrowl.GrowlConnector, bad class file: libgrowl-0.1.1.jar
class file has wrong version 49.0, should be 48.0"

Any idea ?
